Registration for the Winter School of the Finnish Doctoral Network for Music Research (March 14–16, 2022) is now open online: https://www.lyyti.fi/reg/MuToVetalvikoulu_2022__rekisteroityminen_1162/en (password: 22talvikoulu). This time, the event will take place in a hybrid format, i.e., mainly on site at Kallio-Kuninkala, but with a possibility to attend online via Zoom. Please find attached the preliminary programme draft.
We kindly ask everyone interested to register by February 28. Participants presenting their work at the Winter School should also send 1) their texts and 2) up-to-date table of contents files for their doctoral projects as attachments files either via the registration link or via e-mail (email@example.com). Please note that you can edit your registration form even after sending it (until February 28).
Important information about the COVID situation
Due to the pandemic situation, we expect all attendees to wear a mask, keep safe distances and take care of good hand hygiene on site at Kallio-Kuninkala during the seminar. Accommodation will take place in single or double rooms, and the organisers will do their best to ensure that the accommodation is arranged as safely as possible, depending on the number of attendees. This means that we have fewer accommodation slots available than usually, so we encourage everyone thinking of staying overnight to fill out the registration form soon. If you experience any symptoms associated with COVID, have been exposed to the virus or have received a positive test result, do not attend the event on site.
All necessary information (including Zoom links) has been gathered on a separate DigiCampus page. You can find the instructions, link and password for accessing the DigiCampus course area in the confirmation e-mail that you will automatically get once registered. We kindly ask all participants to familiarise themselves well in advance with the documents (winter school info, technical information, safer space guidelines, writers’ instructions and guidelines for opponents) uploaded on DigiCampus. The DigiCampus materials will be updated and complemented until the beginning of March, and schedule changes are possible.
The theme of this year’s winter school is academic writing, and our guest speakers (in Finnish) will be Professor Helmi Järviluoma-Mäkelä (UEF) and Associate Professor Olli Löytty (Uni. Turku). The precise topics of their guest lectures will be updated on the DigiCampus page during February.
Should you have any questions about the Winter School or other events organised by the network, please do not hesitate to contact the coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org, tel. 0504779213).
