null MuToVe winter school, February 14–15, 2024: registration open

Registration for the winter school of the Finnish Doctoral Network for Music Research (February 14–15, 2024) is now open online: https://www.lyyti.in/MuToVetalvikoulu_2024__rekisteroityminen_2557/en (password: 24talvikoulu). The event will take place in a hybrid format, i.e., mainly on site at Kallio-Kuninkala, but with a possibility to attend online via Zoom on both days. Please find attached the preliminary program.

We kindly ask everyone interested to register by Sunday February 4, 2024. Participants presenting their work at the winter school should also send 1) their texts and 2) up-to-date table of contents files for their doctoral projects  as attachments files either via the registration link or via e-mail (marianne.mieskolainen@uniarts.fi). Please note that you can edit your registration form even after sending it (until February 4).

All necessary information (including Zoom links) has been gathered on a separate DigiCampus page. You can find the instructions, link and password for accessing the DigiCampus course area in the confirmation e-mail that you will automatically get once registered. We kindly ask all participants to familiarise themselves well in advance with the documents (winter school info, technical information, safer space guidelines, writers’ instructions and guidelines for opponents) uploaded on DigiCampus. The DigiCampus materials will be updated and complemented until the beginning of February, and changes in the program are possible.

This year our guest speakers will be Heidi Partti (Professor of Music Education at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki) and Henriikka Mustajoki (General Secretary of the Committee for Public Information). Their workshop will focus on responsible use of AI in research.

Should you have any questions about the winter school, please do not hesitate to contact the network’s coordinator (marianne.mieskolainen@uniarts.fi).
